Attention Riverhead residents:
In an effort to better serve its customers, the Riverhead Water District is instituting a meter replacement program by updating older metering equipment. Our records indicate that water meters in certain locations of Town need to be replaced due to age, which may impede its ability to meter water consumption efficiently. This replacement is at no cost to our residents as a Water District customer and is required for the Town of Riverhead to move forward with its water conservation program now and in the future.
During meter replacement there may be a short period where water service is disrupted and/or mild discoloration may occur. Please refer to the website for flushing directions if needed. All Water District employees will have photo identification if requested.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation regarding this matter. The Riverhead Water District and its employees are committed to ensuring that you and your family receive the highest water quality. If you have any questions regarding the above, please contact the Riverhead Water District office at 631-727-3205 Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
