Supervisor Aguiar, along with Police Chief David Hegermiller, and members of the Riverhead Law Enforcement Advisory Panel (LEAP), are seeking input from the community on their views and feelings regarding the role and procedures of the Riverhead Police Department.
The Governor’s Executive Order No. 203, mandated police agencies to examine the perceptions of the communities concerning policing and policies. In an effort to respond to the Governor’s order, the survey was created to assist and strengthen the trust between the Riverhead Police Department and our community.
